About Tess Utterback

Tess Utterback is a lifelong resident of Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Lexington Catholic in 1990 and earned her degree from the University of Kentucky in 1994. Real estate is truly in her blood — her grandfather developed the Lexington subdivision Westmorland, and her mother was also a Realtor. From a young age, Tess was immersed in the world of real estate.

Shortly after graduating from college, Tess obtained her real estate license and quickly built a successful career at a young age. In 2003, she stepped away from full-time real estate to pursue a career in Corporate America within the telecommunications industry. During this time, she maintained her real estate license and continued assisting family and friends with property purchases. In 2020, driven by her passion for real estate, Tess returned to the industry full time. Her corporate experience strengthened her foundation in ethics, discipline, and professionalism — qualities she brings to every client relationship.

Beyond real estate, Tess’s greatest passion is horses and the exceptional horse country of Central Kentucky. When she’s not working or spending time with her family, you’ll often find her in the saddle. Tess competes in three-day eventing and dressage and now enjoys riding alongside her daughter, Isla. As a dedicated horsewoman, she understands how unique and fortunate our community is to be so deeply rooted in the equine industry.

Tess has seamlessly combined her passions for real estate and horses by specializing in equestrian and farm properties. She takes great pride in helping clients find the perfect Kentucky home for both their families and their four-legged companions.
